Introduction

The RoboCup Junior Euro 2024 is taking place for the second time in Hanover and is embedded in IdeenExpo (www.ideenexpo.de), Europe’s largest youth event for science and technology (2022: over 425,000 visitors).

On the following pages we would like to provide you with some helpful information to make your visit to the RCJE2024 as pleasant and stress-free as possible.

Access to the area

RCJE2024 will take place in Hall 6 at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds. Use the East Entrance 3 via the Expo Plaza. You can reach the East Entrance 3 with the tram lines 6 & 16.

The exhibition grounds are open daily from 09:00 a.m. – 06:00 p.m.. Participant registration begins on Wednesday, 12.06.2024, at 12:00 p.m. in Hall 6 and ends at 06:00 p.m.. Testing at the arenas will also start at 12:00 p.m.. You will receive your pass to participate in RoboCup Junior Euro 2024 at the accreditation stand in Hall 6. Once you have this pass, you will be able to enter the site from 08:00 a.m. on the following days.

For Wednesday, 12.06.2024, the following rules apply for entry:

  • for entry from 09:00 a.m. with luggage (e.g. robots/technology) an official confirmation of participation/registration is required
  • if you enter from 09:00 a.m. without luggage, you can enter the grounds as normal

On 08.06. the area will remain open until 10:00 p.m. due to the concerts. On 15.06. the site will remain open until 11:00 p.m., as there will also be concerts followed by fireworks on this day.

Please allow sufficient time, as people and bags will be checked at the entrances. As part of this check, you may need to identify yourself with your RCJE2024 registration confirmation or your RCJE badge.

In order to minimize bag checks, it is generally important that participants do not take their robotic items back onto the premises every day. Ideally, the items should remain inside the hall.
